Me the People finds Off-Broadway musical-theater satirists on a mission that history has shown will never lose its urgency: assailing powerful hypocrites in song. Every complaint you might have about the buffoonish wannabe autocrat and his administration gets belted to the rafters, often with wit and always with a familiar tune and principled razzle-dazzle. Two inspired choices distinguish the show. First, nobody portrays the president himself. The second surprise: The show’s not a wallow in news you might prefer to escape from. It’s a triumph over it, a proudly indecent bleat for decency. This is the first show I’ve ever adored that I hope has cause to close very soon."  FULL REVIEW

“COMEDY REVENGE!

The zingy songs aim at the misguided, hypocritical and tragically unfit people who rep us in Washington remind us how important satire is at a time of national upheaval. The rousing finale is nothing short of brilliant. It alone is worth the price of admission.”

SATRITIC TRUMP REVUE PUTS THE 'EFF YOU' IN 'FUN'!

"Has Donald Trump been good for democracy? Maybe not. But his campaign and his few months in office have been a real gift to comedy. Now, with Me the People: The Trump America Musical, cabaret has gotten in on the lampoon action. On a recent evening, a two-drinks-minimum crowd gave a giggly listen to “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Korea” and “Welcome to the Hotel Mar-a-Lago"—political quick takes in the style of Forbidden Broadway. Call it “Forbidden Beltway." There are a lot worse ways to spend a Saturday night than laughing and grieving together. The performers—Aiesha Dukes, Mitchel Kawash, are all fine singers and fizzy delights, with Richard Spitaletta and Mia Weinberger emerging as particularly skillful impersonators. Let’s also give a shout-out to the music director and accompanist James Higgins. When the evening concluded, with Ms. Weinberger’s Hillary Clinton crooning a riff on CeeLo Green’s “Forget You,” the audience got to its feet, lustily singing along to the salty lyrics as they lofted sugary martinis. It wasn’t impeachment, but it wasn’t so bad."

TAKES THE ABSURDITY THAT IS TRUMP

AND PUTS A LAUGH BOMB UNDER IT!

"SEE IT NOW! I guarantee it will turn your Trump loathing howls into howls of cathartic laughter that will have you rolling in the aisles. Four supremely talented cast members and one hard-working pianist skewer everything from shredding the Constitution (literally) to the Supremes to Russian Spies to Mar-a-Lago to Melania to Korea to Putin to an absolutely brilliant sketch portraying a day in the life of Jared and Ivanka. But the best is saved for last as Hillary makes an appearance in a spectacularly inspired number wherein she gives the finger to everyone and gets the Triad crowd on its feet singing "F@#k You Donald Trump!!!"—Mark Weston, Culture Catch  FULL REVIEW

                        THIS SHOW IS

GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU

YOU LAUGH. GUARANTEED!

"President Donald Trump’s actions are often so zany in themselves that they defy satire. Me the People solves that problem by satirically taking on his administration, policies and other targets involved in our world of Trump, as well as the president himself. For the show’s overall style think Forbidden Broadway. The result is often downright hilarious, thanks to the blend of clever lyrics and song parodies, and especially thanks to the four exceptionally talented, very funny and inventive performers who assume a rapid-fire variety of identities."

For those who are definitely unhappy with the country's current political situation, there's Me the People — The Trump America Musical.                        VERY FUNNY!!

"For both a hilarious night out and a satirical look at the current state of politics, Me the People will not disappoint. The comedic talents of a cast of triple-threats perform back-to-back sketches, borrowing the tunes of popular songs and taking on various political figures. They don’t shy away from any topic, whether it be social justice, government scandals, or Donald Trump’s tweets."–Katharine Nedder,TheEasy.com                                                           FULL REVIEW

COMIC GENIUS! SMART AND EXTREMELY RELEVANT.

"A side-splittingly funny musical—you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time and laugh uncontrollably. This production features an amazingly funny, versatile and captivating cast. As much as everyone laughed and how long they laughed, the sobering part of being in the audience was to realize that this story isn’t made-up, it’s a valid look at the state of chaos in the country since Trump took over."

THE COMIC WIT IN THIS MUSICAL IS

OFF-THE-CHARTS!

"It’s a gift to find a show that is as funny as it is unapologetic for its painful impressions and humor. Holson’s writing is important and consummately unique, it tells you not to take the circus sitting down. Richard Spitaletta is Off-Off Broadway’s answer to the quick-spitting freestyle of Hamilton; his Russian spy exceptionally spits lyrics faster than Trump sends out tweets. His Jared Kushner is also doggedly funny, especially alongside Mia Weinberger’s Ivanka Trump. Weinberger’s impressions of Nancy DeVos, Melania Trump, Kim Jong-un and Hillary Clinton make Kate McKinnon’s SNL jabs look elementary and dry."—Iris Wiener, TheaterLife.com  FULL REVIEW
